2024 Goldtröpfchen Kabinett 96 Punkte
"... was harvested at a modest Oechsle degrees on up to 110-year-old un- grafted vines in the sector situated above the village of Ferres and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (40 g/l). This offers a superb nose made of pear, citrus fruits, star fruit, bergamot, and fine smoky elements. The wine is gorgeously playful and packed with great zesty elements on the palate and leaves a hugely precise and animating feel in the light-footed but intense finish. This is a stunning expression of Kabinett!"

"... was made from fruit harvested at modest Oechsle degrees from cooler vineyards on the main hill (not from the backside as usual as these grapes got frozen) and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (44 g/l). It offers a beautiful nose made of pear, herbs, and fine spices. The wine is superbly playful and precise on the palate and leaves a great feel of minerals, herbal elements, and ripe orchard fruits in the long finish. This is a great Kabinett in the making."

"... was made from fruit harvested at modest Oechsle degrees on 90-year-old un-grafted vines and was fermented in Fuder down to barely fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (42 g/l). It offers a still backward nose made of pear, prune, spicy elements, a hint of cream, wet stone, and minerals. The wine proves nicely juicy and subtly tart on the palate and leaves a delicately smooth but animating feel in the long finish. The balance in the aftertaste is simply impeccable."

"...was made from fruit picked modest Oechsle degrees on vines planted in 1971 and trained on single pole, which are in the lower part (close to the Mosel River) of the vineyard and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (43 g/l). It offers a superb nose made of thyme, pear, passion fruit, citrus sorbet, whipped cream, and fine herbal elements. The wine is beautifully racy and precise on the palate, where fresh fruits mingle with minerals. The finish is light-footed yet also beautifully intense. What a great Kabinett!"
